The tragic sequence of events unfolded when a Buick, driven by Shemikia, was traveling southbound, and a GMC Sierra was heading northbound. According to investigators, Shemikia’s Buick veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a catastrophic collision with the GMC.

Shemikia and three of her children, aged 13, 11, and 2, lost their lives in the tragic crash. The eldest, Kyah, was 13, followed by Peyton at 11, and the youngest, only 2 years old. Brown’s six-year-old daughter, Aubree, who was also in the vehicle, survived but is in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she is receiving medical attention for her injuries.

The driver of the GMC, 30-year-old Joshua Gorman, escaped the collision unharmed, according to troopers.
