I didn't appreciate Christy Turlington as a model the first time I saw her. Not until she appeared in various campaigns with different looks did I realize her versatility. She never went the Sports Illustrated swimsuit route, but still remains on of the best models of all time.

The Lifetime version of her "Catwalk" movie was much better.

She would never make it today as a high fashion model. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Everything is so different these days. All the 90s gals don't fit with today. What is today though? A bunch of mediocre shit.

Turlington was great but did not have the body for swimsuit/Sports Illustrated. That's a lot of T&A, it's not high fashion and runway girls. At least that was the way it was in Turlington's day, I don't know what it is now.

She is beautiful in an understated way, and very naturally elegant looking. She almost looks European. I also appreciate the fact that she hasn't gone apeshit with plastic surgery; aside from her nosejob, she seems to be wearing all of her wrinkles and going the natural route. She still looks great.
